The Big Legal Lesson has been taking place in schools across the country today. As part of this, the junior school have been thinking about some of the people who help us all uphold The Rule of Law - one of our British Values. We were very lucky to receive a visit from some of our amazing local police force this afternoon. They spoke to the children about their role within our community and how they keep us safe. Some of the children even got to try on parts of their uniform and have a closer look at some of the equipment that they carry with them. Afterwards, the children took part in some activities looking at the differences between rules and laws. We even thought about what appropriate consequences for breaking these might be if we were in charge.
