Athletics team at the London Youth Games

February 09, 2024

Huge congratulations to our upper school Athletics team who competed in the London Youth Games Sportshall athletics competition earlier this week. The team were representing Havering after winning the Havering schools competition back in November.

The team have been busy preparing for this multi discipline event since the start of term and have all shown they the 5 R's in the pursuit of their best performances.

It brings huge pride to all the coaches and teachers to work with such a dedicated and motivated group of talented individuals. Big shout out to Mr Hayes and Mr Bradenbury for their continued effort to offer the widest range of experiences to the children at Ardleigh Green. Thank you also to Mr Bennet for stepping in and offering his coaching expertise in the build up to the event.

They finished a brilliant 5th place in their qualifier and wish the best of luck to those Borough teams who will go on to compete at the LYG finals in March.

Our Lower school team are heading to their Indoor Athletics competition next week and are super excited to test themselves against other Havering schools! We can't wait to see them in action and will share their experience through our Blog.
