Year 3: Science experiment

February 01, 2024

Ash class thoroughly enjoyed being scientists in our solar oven experiment.

We created our own solar oven using a box lined with foil, black paper and straws to prop it open. We then planned how we could make it even better- the children decided cling film to make a 'Greenhouse effect'. We popped some chocolate into each box, put a thermometer inside and left in the most sunny spot we could find.

Every 15 minutes the children checked the temperature and they recorded their results! Well done Ash class!
