What a fabulous and informative day! The children have had taking part in STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths). We began the day by having a whole school assembly including two inspirational visitors who discussed how they incorporate those four areas in their jobs. We have also enjoyed activities in class which have included:
- Planning an invention to help the planet
- Designing a 'smart tech' sportswear top to track our health and fitness
- Using the force of air to send paper mice high into the air
- Learning about and designing our own sustainable transport
- Using the Makey Makey devices to create music using ourselves as the circuit
We have been so impressed with the children's ideas and thoughts.
