Today we had a brilliant assembly from Alice Chevallier from MP Smarter Travel. She taught us all about the dangers of idling cars in traffic. Children are the most affected by idling as they are lower and closer to the vehicle exhausts.
We then went back to class to create a poster to encourage cars to turn off their engines in being stuck in traffic for more than 30 seconds.
Idling creates air pollution inside and outside the car and it is illegal and you can be fined up to £40.
