After studying Picasso, Willow class have focused on a piece of his art: Guernica. This art is over 7m wide and shows an abstract scene from a Spanish war! In class, we have studied how Picasso used symbols and 2D shapes to create a scene. We are replicating this technique and portraying a scene from the two world wars. Step 1: creating symbols. Step 2: enlarging our symbols and using 2D shapes to create an abstract look. Step 3; using only black paint to create tones.
